The documented origins of Hope Cove in Devon date back as far as 1281 with a rich maritime history. Hope Cove has seen many shipwrecks including the Spanish ship, St. Peter in 1588 & HMS Ramilles in 1760 - once a secret place for smugglers, Hope Cove is now a delightful & popular holiday destination which shouldn't be missed on a trip to the South Hams! |
